How is the Goethe-Zertifikat A2 structured?
It has four modules: reading, listening, writing and speaking. Reading, listening and writing are written; speaking is oral and usually takes place in pairs with a partner.
How long does the Goethe-Zertifikat A2 take?
The written part takes around 90 minutes: about 30 minutes each for reading, listening and writing. The oral exam takes about 15 minutes.
How many points do I need to pass the Goethe-Zertifikat A2?
The three written modules (reading, listening, writing) are graded together – you need at least 45 of 75 points. For speaking you need at least 15 of 25 points. Overall that’s around 60 %.
What is the difference between telc A2 and the Goethe-Zertifikat A2?
Both certify the A2 level but have a slightly different format. The Goethe-Zertifikat A2, for example, has four parts each in reading and listening. Check which exam your exam center offers.
