What's inside the Goethe-Zertifikat A2 PDF
The official Goethe-Institut Modellsatz contains a complete A2 exam in the real format: reading, listening and writing. It also includes the speaking tasks, an answer sheet and the answer key for the multiple-choice parts. So you can see exactly how the tasks look at A2 and how many points there are per module.
Use the Modellsatz under real conditions: print the answer sheet, set a timer and work through the written modules in one go. Only afterwards check with the answer key. There is no model answer for the writing and speaking modules – here a teacher, a language partner or our mock exam with automatic feedback helps you.
A single Modellsatz shows you the format but does not replace training. To pass with confidence, practice each module several times – especially writing and speaking, which the PDF answer key does not cover.
Frequently asked questions
Is the Goethe A2 Modellsatz free?
Yes. The Goethe-Institut provides a complete Modellsatz free to download – without registration and without an account.
Are the answers included in the PDF?
For the multiple-choice parts (reading, listening) yes – the answer key is at the end of the PDF. For writing and speaking there is no model answer, because an examiner grades them.
Is there a Modellsatz for adults and one for young people?
Yes. The Goethe-Zertifikat A2 exists as an exam for adults and as “Fit in Deutsch” for young people. Check which version you need – here we link the Modellsatz for adults.
Is the Modellsatz enough to prepare?
A single Modellsatz shows you the format and your current level, but it does not replace training. To pass with confidence, practice each module several times and get feedback – especially for writing and speaking. That’s exactly what Prepliq offers with realistic mock exams and automatic scoring.
How do I prepare best with the PDF?
Do the Modellsatz once in full under time pressure, mark it with the answer key, and then practice specifically the modules where you lost points. For writing and speaking you also need real feedback – for example via a realistic Prepliq mock.
